Puerto Morelos (Morelo´s Port)

A Tranquil Seaside Escape

Private Transfers to Puerto Morelos

Puerto Morelos is a quiet fishing village between Cancún and Playa del Carmen, offering unspoiled beaches, a vibrant reef system, and a relaxed Caribbean vibe. Unlike the larger resort cities, Puerto Morelos is known for its authentic small-town charm, making it ideal for visitors looking for a laid-back coastal retreat.

For a direct trip, Black Luxury Service offers private car service from Cancun Airport to Puerto Morelos, which is only about twenty to thirty minutes north.  While we do offer airport transfers from Tulum International Airport (TQO), that drive is considerably further at roughly an hour and a half south.

What to Do in Puerto Morelos

The Reef and the Cenotes – The Mesoamerican Reef is closer to shore here than almost anywhere else in Mexico, and the national marine park protecting it means the snorkeling and diving are properly good rather than merely convenient.

Inland, the Ruta de los Cenotes leads west from town, a road lined with cenotes, ziplines, and jungle. The good ones are further along than most visitors get. A chauffeur for the day means you reach them and come back when you are ready.

The Town – The square, the artisan market, and the seafood restaurants around them are the whole of it, and that is the appeal. The lighthouse leaning out over the beach is the town’s landmark and the reason most photographs of Puerto Morelos look the same.

A Car in Puerto Morelos – Guests stay here for the quiet and then find they want the coast. Playa del Carmen is twenty minutes south, Cancún half an hour north for dinner or a night out, and the cenotes are inland. A chauffeur handles all of it, including the drive back at an hour when taxis here have long since stopped.
