Isla Mujeres (Mujeres Island)
Isla Mujeres is a peaceful island situated just off the coast of Cancun. It is famous
for its lovely beaches, quaint downtown, and unhurried pace. Rich in history, the
island was once a sacred spot dedicated to Ixchel, the Mayan goddess of fertility.
Undoubtedly, one of the best ways to enjoy a visit to Isla Mujeres is by the sea!

and be treated to an endless expanse of ocean on the other with gem-like islands
in between, Playa Norte, with its shallow turquoise waters is perfect for swimming
and sunbathing, while the Garrafon Natural Reef Park offers fine snorkeling and
kayaking opportunities. Isla Mujeres has the friendly allure of a small town, making
it a pleasant place for a short vacation or a long retreat. Local eating places
provide traditional Yucatecan dishes unique to the area, a must-try it´s the Ceviche!
Whether it may be of octopus, shrimp, or fish this dish it´s a local delicacy! Isla
Mujeres holds its nightlife as quiet, with beachside bars and live music making it
perfect for winding down.
